HOW THE MONEY IS DISBURSED
Social workers within the community of Pope Kyrollos Parish conduct regular visits to the residents, reporting case studies of people in need. Those reports are sent to the Board of Directors of Our Mother Of Light (Mere De La Lumiere, Inc.) in Canada, who will review the cases and prioritize the needs of each family. Monthly disbursements are made based on need and available contributions. Donations are wired to the community's agent, and then disbursed to the families. The agent in Egypt keeps very careful and accurate records and signed receipts on a monthly bases, which are sent back to Mere de la Lumiere, inc., in Canada.
